Community Guidelines
Effective date: June 16, 2026 Last updated: June 16, 2026
Piefold works best when reviews are honest, fair, and useful. These guidelines explain what we expect. They are part of our Terms of Service, and breaking them can lead to content removal or account suspension.
Write from real experience
- Only review pizzerias and items you actually visited and ordered.
- Base scores and comments on your genuine, first-hand experience.
- Don't post reviews you were paid or otherwise incentivized to write.
- Don't post on behalf of a business about itself or its competitors.
Be fair to the businesses you review
Piefold reviews real establishments, and what you write can affect their reputation. Please:
- Stick to facts you experienced and opinions you hold. "The crust was undercooked for my taste" is fine. Stating something as fact that you know to be false is not.
- Don't make false factual claims about food safety, hygiene, or illegal conduct unless you genuinely experienced or witnessed them and are describing them accurately.
- Avoid personal attacks on staff or owners. Critique the pizza, not the person.
- No defamatory content. Knowingly false statements of fact that damage a business's reputation are not allowed and may expose you to legal liability.
Keep it civil and lawful
Don't post content that is:
- Harassing, threatening, hateful, or discriminatory;
- Obscene, sexually explicit, or graphically violent;
- Doxxing or revealing of private information about others;
- Spam, advertising, or off-topic promotion;
- Infringing on someone else's copyright or trademark;
- Otherwise illegal.
Keep it authentic
- One genuine review per visit — don't manipulate aggregate scores with fake or duplicate entries.
- Don't impersonate other people or businesses.
- Don't create multiple accounts to inflate or sabotage scores.
Privacy of others
Don't post other people's personal information (full names beyond public business info, phone numbers, addresses, photos of identifiable people without consent, etc.).
Reporting and enforcement
If you see content that breaks these guidelines, report it to support@piefold.pizza. We may remove content, hide it from public aggregates, warn users, or suspend or terminate accounts. We aim to be fair but reserve discretion to keep the community healthy.
Businesses that believe a review about them is false or violates these guidelines can contact us at support@piefold.pizza; we will review such reports, though we are not able to adjudicate disputes between users and businesses and generally do not remove honest opinions.
